Meet the Musicians

Olivia Adams, Pianist

 

Olivia comes from Saskatoon has recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance at Western University. She is continuing on to a Masters in Piano Pedagogy and Women’s Studies at the University of Ottawa. Olivia is an active piano teacher, clinician, and performer in London and Saskatoon. In 2018 Olivia gave a lecture recital in Aveiro, Portugal. She can be found performing solo, or collaboratively with her duo-piano partner, the Thames Centre Community Choir, or singers in Saskatoon’s Summer Academy for Voice and Piano.

Cydney Morris, Vocalist

Cydney is a grade 11 student enrolled in the Arts & Culture High Skills Major program at Saugeen District. She is a member of various community choirs, studies voice and plays piano and euphonium. She has received many scholarships from local music festivals and is active in all aspects of the music community, sharing her gift with audiences at school, sporting events, retirement homes, and area churches.

Adams and Busch, Piano Duo

The Adams and Busch piano duo/duet (made up of Olivia Adams and  Nicholas Busch) formed in 2018 through Western University, where both pianists acquired Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance. They have had the honor of studying with Tina Yanchus, Leslie Kinton, and Andgela Park. Both pianists are active and frequent performers in the London area as a duo and as soloists, and they will be pursuing Master’s degrees in Piano Pedagogy and Collaborative Piano Performance.

Jeffrey Paik, Cellist

Jeffrey started playing the cello at age 5 in Oakville, ON., in the Suzuki program. He completed Grade 8 practical in 2018 with first class honors and has moved through the Royal Conservatory Orchestral training program. Jeffrey currently studies with Tricia Balmer in Toronto where he was a 2x award winner of the Davenport Music Festival. Upon moving to Owen Sound in 2017, he joined the Georgian Bay Symphony and represented Grey County Kiwanis at provincials. He is a Grade 10 student at OSDSS. In addition, he plays 1st Trombone and Euphonium in the Hannaford youth program under the direction of Anita McAlister. 

Vanessa Bosman, Vocalist

Growing up on a farm outside Listowel, Ontario with her choir-sized family, singing has always played a large roll in Vanessa’s life. Vanessa has been involved in choirs throughout high school and more recently, the Georgian Bay Children’s Choir, O’Sing and the Georgian Bay Concert Choir. Graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute and now working there, Vanessa continues to work alongside composer Fiona Evison singing compositions at various locations and events. Enjoying many genres of singing, she has a desire to be challenged in her vocal technique as she takes on new projects and opportunities. 

Anna Perrone, Pianist

Anna currently live with her wonderful parents and four brothers in the beautiful hamlet of Massie (near Chatsworth). Under the excellent guidance of Linda Hawkins, she's currently preparing to take the ARCT exam in piano performance next June. She's also the organist and choir director at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church as well as being the organist and lead soprano for the Grey Bruce Latin Mass Community.

Adrian Little, Pianist

 

Adrian is a pianist and music educator from Port Elgin, Ontario. Known for his versatility and musicality, he maintains a busy schedule as a soloist and as a collaborator with vocalists, choirs, and instrumentalists. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University where he majored in Piano Performance and Music Theory, studying with Leslie De’Ath.  

Emily Weaver, Clarinetist

Emily was born and raised in Owen Sound, Ontario. She has recently completed her 3rd year of studies at Queens University in the Bachelor of Music Program. Emily was the 2nd chair in the Queens University Symphony Orchestra as well as Concert Master and section leader in the Queens University Wind Ensemble. She had the privileged to compete and receive a Kingston Symphony Association Scholarship. This year Emily also participated in the Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival and received the Lynn Anne Milsom award. She is competing in the Kiwanis Music Festival Provincial Competition and will be attending the Belgium Clarinet Academy in July.

 

 


Suwan Yu, Flutist

Suwan Yu has been playing the flute for  seven years. She is in Grade 12 at St. Mary’s High School in Kitchener, and studying flute under Laurel Swinden at the Beckett School of Music. Suwan performs in Kitchener-Waterloo Youth Orchestra and Kitchener-Waterloo Youth Concert Band as a member of flute section and has had the opportunity to play youth side-by-side concerts with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. Suwan was a prize winner of the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition. She has been nominated to represent the Kitchener-Waterloo Kiwanis Music Festival at this year’s Provincial Music Festival Competition.
