The SweetWater Music Festival is inviting ALL area string players (violin, viola, cello, and bass) with a maximum of 25, to participate in a string workshop led by Mark Fewer and Thomas Wiebe, two of Canada’s leading string players and teachers. It is a chance to be inspired, learn new technique, improve practising routines, and have questions answered. As some of you know from participating in the Classical Jam, Mark and Tom are encouraging teachers who work in a very positive, relaxed way.
This workshop is open to ALL levels of performance. Teachers, students of all ages, community players of classical, jazz and folk are welcome. Our goal is to build a stronger string instrument playing community. After registrations have been received, Mark and Tom will decide on a format and some starting points. Participants will then be updated.
This may include a group performance suitable to all. There is NO minimum requirement for playing or music reading skills.
Take advantage of this opportunity and come out to our workshop!
