Concert kicks off 2016 season as SweetWater prepares for 2016 Festival this September
The SweetWater Music Festival marks the spring season and Mother’s Day with a special music event on Sunday, May 8 at the Historic Leith Church. Few & Fewer In Concert, an afternoon concert beginning at 2 p.m., features Artistic Director Mark Fewer on violin, Guy Few on trumpet, along with pianist Stephanie Mara. The concert kicks off the 2016 season as SweetWater prepares for the Festival, which takes place from September 16 to 18.
The afternoon program is an eclectic mix of music including performances of Pablo de Sarasate’s Ziguenerweisen, Morire by Giacomo Puccini, Sonata in D minor, Op. 75 by Camille Saint-Saëns, Three Preludes by George Gershwin, and Round Midnight by Thelonius Monk.
Both Few and Fewer have collaborated in the past and this concert will mark the latest pairing of these talented musicians.
