Born in Hamilton, Ontario, bass-baritone Jordan Collalto holds a bachelor of music from the University of British Columbia. Highlights from this last season include Joseph De Rocher in Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, Guglielmo with Manitoba Underground Opera in Così fan tutte, and Tapestry Opera's Songbook V concert. In the 2013/14 season he performed the role of Bart in Vancouver Opera In Schools' touring production of The Barber of Barkerville, Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro with Burnaby Lyric Opera, and Colline in a tour of La bohème with Jeunesses Musicales du Canada.

In the summer of 2012 Jordan performed Leporello at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Don Giovanni. Some of his roles with the UBC Opera Ensemble included the title character of Le nozze di Figaro, Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte, Colline in La bohème, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Reverend Hale in The Crucible, and Superintendent Budd in Britten's Albert Herring. As a concert soloist, Jordan performed the role of Jesus in the Arvo Pärt Passio with UBC's University Singers, and was a soloist with the Vancouver Bach Choir in their Sing-Along Messiah.

As a member of the Elora Festival Singers, Jordan recently appeared in the Summer Festival in Elora and will be performing with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir this season.
