Dakota Martin is a Canadian flutist currently based in London, UK where he is entering the second year of his masters degree at the Royal College of Music. At the Royal College Dakota is under
the tutelage of Susan Milan, and Daniel Pailthorpe and also studies baroque flute with Rachel Brown. As an orchestral player, Dakota has performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada,
National Academy Orchestra of Canada, L'Orchestre de la Francophonie and also with the BBC Symphony Orchestra through their Pathways Program.
In addition to is orchestral pursuits, Dakota enjoys performing as a soloist and recitalist. He has performed concertos with the Pronto Musica Chamber Orchestra and the McGill Symphony Orchestra
and was a prizewinner at the 2011 Canadian Music Competition as well as the 2015 RCM Woodwind Competition.
