ANDRAS MOLNAR (TRUMPET)


Andras Molnar was born in Hungary. Since Kindergarten, he was educated in special Kodaly music schools (ask him to sing any songs with "sol fa").

During his university years at the famous Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Andras was the principal trumpet player of the Hungarian Symphony orchestra.

After a tour to West Germany rather going back to Hungary he took a "wrong" turn and ended up playing with the Stuttgart Philharmoniker Orchestra, then
coming to Canada played with the Hamilton Symphony, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra,Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra as well as Aradia Baroque Orchestra and the Hannaford Street Silver Band. He is now freelancing and teaching in Toronto.

Andras has played trumpet on more than 40 recordings.
