Local musicians play along with featured SweetWater musicians led by incoming Artistic Director Edwin Huizinga. Anyone who plays a string or wind instrument no matter their level of expertise, is welcome to join in a reading of the well-known classic. As in past years, several Festival performers will join in the performance.
This year's Jam will take on Edvard Greig's Holberg Suite, 1st and 4th movements

I am so excited to be joining you for the Classical Jam this season. I am a founding member of an organization called Classical Revolution, and have spent the last 15 years sight reading, performing, and jamming all over the world in bars, cafes, art galleries, and other totally unique places for people to get together to make music in a comfortable, totally welcoming environment.
This year I’m looking forward to bringing a few other SweetWater musicians together along with all of you, and read through, work a little, and then do a live performance of the Holberg Suite. I have loved this piece since I learned to walk, and I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do. Have a listen below to this incredible band perform it called A Far Cry. See you soon!
