As part of the 2016 Sweetwater Music Festival, which takes September 16 to 18, there will be a Classical Jam session. These sessions have become one of the many highlights of the three-day annual festival. The first year an orchestra read Mozart and Haydn and last year singers sang sections of the Bach B- Mass. It was a very rewarding experience for all.
Anyone, no matter what your level of expertise playing a string or wind instrument, is welcome to join in a reading of the Vivaldi Seasons:Spring and Haydn Symphony #94 "The Surprise." Several of Festival performers including Artistic Director Mark Fewer will leading the group. The goal - enjoy making music together.
Plan to join us and encourage others who may enjoy this sort of experience to come along as well.
Contact Marion McDougall firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your name, instrument and if applicable, the part you will play (1st or 2nd). This can be done at anytime and is only to get an idea of instrumentation and the number of chairs required.
